Aly Bazzi
Aly, co-host of Aly & Mo
I’m Aly Bazzi. I’m from Lebanon, a first-year student at the University of Pennsylvania, and a co-host of Aly & Mo.
On the show
Aly & Mo is a video podcast where Mo and I take one piece of a professor’s research and pull it apart on camera until it makes sense. Every episode ends with something you can use in your own life.
I ask the blunt question, the one nobody else will. Mo asks the simple one. Between the two of us, a guest can’t hide behind their own vocabulary.
We film at the Hechtman Recording Studio in Van Pelt Library, and full episodes go on YouTube and Spotify.
A few things I’ve done
- I’m a TEDx speaker.
- I founded a water bottle company with a temperature display, heating and a built-in filter.
- I started the first investment club at my school.
- I host Grey Matters, a Penn podcast.
- I sit on the conference committee of the Wharton Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Club.
- I was the first intern under 18 at Ashi Studio, a couture house that shows at Paris Fashion Week, where I learned how a business runs and how people behave.
