Mohammad Al Khayyat
Mo, co-host of Aly & Mo and co-founder of ThermaLabs
I’m Mohammad Al Khayyat, usually known as Mo. I’m Emirati, a student at the University of Pennsylvania, and a co-host of Aly & Mo. I’m also a co-founder of ThermaLabs, where we’re developing BREEZE, a wearable refrigeration system built into normal clothing. Our first product is a cooling work jacket for people working in extreme heat.
On the show
Aly & Mo is a video podcast where Aly and I take one piece of a professor’s research and pull it apart on camera until it makes sense. Every episode ends with something you can use in your own life.
Aly asks the blunt question. I ask the simple one. If a ten-year-old couldn’t follow the answer, I ask it again. Between the two of us, a guest can’t hide behind their own vocabulary.
We film at the Hechtman Recording Studio in Van Pelt Library, and full episodes go on YouTube and Spotify.
